Stephen Fry In America gets double nomination

Stephen Fry In America, the six part travelogue series produced by West Park Pictures for BBC One has received two nominations at two major UK media awards.

DCD Publishing’s best selling book of the TV series (HarperCollins) has been short listed in the ‘best popular non-fiction’ category at the Galaxy British Book Awards, also known as the ‘Oscars of the book world’ which honour the best books and authors of the year. Winners will be announced on 3rd April in London.

Stephen Fry is also nominated in the ‘best performer in non-acting role’ category for Stephen Fry In America at the 35th Annual Broadcasting Press Guild Awards. Winners will be announced on Friday 27 March in London. Drama writer Andrew Davies is also nominated in the 'writer's award' category for three drama including his adaptation of Sarah Waters' novel ‘Affinity’ (produced by DCD-owned Box TV) which transmitted over the festive season on ITV1.
