Frank Piazza Named UK Screen Association October Shining Star
Sequence Post is delighted to announce that Frank Piazza, Technical Services Coordinator at Sequence has been awarded the UK Screen Association’s October 2014 Shining Star Award.
Shining Stars is a scheme sponsored by Allan Chapman & James Insurance Brokers designed to recognise and reward excellent work from junior staff in non-craft roles; those who perform over and above the call of duty.
This year, Sequence took on two of the most technologically advanced music films ever produced: Coldplay: Ghost Stories and One Direction: Where We Are. Frank worked alongside Grammy-nominated Director Paul Dugdale on Coldplay’s latest album film going above and beyond his (then) role as Edit Assistant, leading to his promotion to Technical Services Coordinator and Paul’s return to Sequence for One Direction and others.
Clients personally trust Frank whose keen eye and creativity enables him to grasp the individual style of each editor and spot important areas for review before distribution.
When the delivery dates for both projects were brought significantly forward and One Direction changed from DVD to cinema release, unfazed, Frank worked through the night to ensure each was delivered to spec and on time, managing one of the most complicated (and ever changing) workflows Sequence has produced.
Sequence’s Head of Post Production Kabir Jutla today said “We are obviously delighted for Frank who is truly deserving of this award - he never fails to impress with his hard work and enthusiasm and he is a joy to have in the studio for both clients and the Sequence team.”
Frank is a natural leader and sees problems as challenges, rising to the bar and exceeding the call of duty every time. He is credited in Sequence’s first cinema release project as Assistant Offline Editor.
