Matchlight wins Scottish BAFTA for Best Factual Series
Glasgow based factual producer Matchlight has won a Scottish BAFTA for Afghanistan: The Great Game, a Personal View by Rory Stewart.
In this acclaimed two part series for BBC Two Rory Stewart brings his expertise from his years as a soldier, diplomat and historian to the story of two centuries of foreign intervention in Afghanistan - from the British in the 19th Century through to the Soviet and US interventions of the 80s.
The programme is distributed internationally by DCD Rights. it is directed by Iain Scollay and Olly Lambert, produced by Iain Scollay and Ross Wilson.
Matchlight's most recent documentaries include the acclaimed series and one offs Russell Brand: From Addiction To Recovery (BBC Three and BBC One), She Wolves: England's Early Queens (BBC Two) and Perspectives: Lenny Henry Finding Shakespeare (ITV1), all distributed by DCD Rights.
