DCD Publishing secures new deals for Lyric Merchandising

DCD Publishing announced yesterday at Brand Licensing Europe, London, a raft of license deals for some of the music publishers it represents.

AJ Carter have signed a license with EMI Publishing to produce a range of lyrical babywear. The first song to be featured was the classic ‘Summer Holiday’ The collection launched over the summer through Tesco direct.  AJ Carter, DCD and EMI Publishing are in discussion about further exciting lyrics to feature on future collections over the coming months.

Bluw Toys have licensed several iconic Lennon and McCartney tracks from the Sony ATV catalogue  including ‘She Loves Me’, ‘I am the Walrus’, ‘A Hard Days Night’, ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘Help!’. These will feature on an original range of mugs and saucers. This follows on from the hugely popular musical guitar keyrings playing the same classic songs.

Finally Bluw have licensed the EMI publishing song ‘We’re in the Money’ for a new, innovative singing piggy bank. The classic tune plays every time a coin drops into the box.

All three deals were brokered by DCD Publishing.

Adrian Sington, CEO, DCD Publishing, said “We represent most of the world’s largest music publishers for lyric merchandising which gives the opportunity to exploit countless classics and more recent hits. Memorable lyrics can be turned into a broad range of products as demonstrated by these recent deals.”

DCD Publishing represents major music publishers Universal, EMI, Chrysalis, peermusic, Carlin Sony/ATV for music merchandising, with access to over 6 million songs.
