DCD Rights - Sales & Marketing Assistant

An entry level position at an independent international television distribution company. This position is ideal for new graduates and a perfect role for anyone wanting to start out in Media. The role will support and report to the Marketing Manager, as well as providing support to the sales team and group CEO. Duties to include;


Marketing & PR
• Supporting the Marketing Manager in creation of catalogues and marketing materials including general proof reading
• Overseeing and keeping record of screening links for the website and Vimeo for marketing and sales purposes
• Designing email banners, title cards and social media graphics, as well as composite catalogue images on an ad hoc basis
• Facilitating promotional interviews and social media between agents and broadcasters
• Organisation of sales market submissions, as well as putting together metadata and video files for festivals
• Organising trailers and screening materials for markets
• Social Media coverage of programmes airing and general news coverage
• Creation of press packs including public facing press and business-to-business trade press on coverage of DCD programming
• DVD artwork approvals from producers
• Updating the investor catalogue with newly released programming


Sales
• Coordinate CEO’s screening links for buyers and keeping record of this on the company’s rights tracker system, as well as ad hoc sales material including buyer viewing documents
• Creation of sales materials including one sheets and inflight graphics/newsletters
• Activating members to the website and logging them to the current GDPR specifications
• Organising downloadable and general screening links for the sales team
• Managing the company’s relationship with Little Dot Studios including sending reference files for Content ID & liaising with the sales team on programming for their YouTube Channels
• Website and Vimeo analytics on a weekly basis


Corporate/DCD Media
• Occasional organisation of meetings and travel for DCD Media’s CEO
• Updating the DCD Media website with general news and RNS
• Organising and forwarding relevant post and documents to DCD Media in Edinburgh when needed
• Organising company accounts for signature and sending to relevant parties (ie. Auditors)
• Corporate presentations as requested


General
• General office duties including sending outgoing post, distributing incoming post, couriering parcels and buying office supplies when needed
• Answering the main switchboard and transferring incoming calls
• Answering the door and greeting guests
• Main generic company email contact for DCD Rights and DCD Media, forward on queries to relevant member of the team
• Ad hoc duties as required


Skills Required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Photoshop and Apple Mac software would be advantageous
• Basic knowledge of broadcast and digital formats
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure is essential, as well as having a large degree of initiative
• Proactive, efficient and adaptable
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and telephone manner
• Previous work experience in the TV industry would be beneficial

Salary: £20,000
